The following list is not meant to be exhaustive but an example of the types of opportunities in which you might find your place. The work of the church is constantly changing, new ideas are thought up and so new opportunities develop.
The Activate Ministry focuses on students in grades six through 12 with the goal of cultivating a generation that transforms culture. This is done through invested relationships, challenging teaching, youth led worship, small groups and a lot of fun. Activate meets Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, as well as, special outings, trips, and other events. (Note: A background check is required before becoming a regular volunteer with students.)
Be the first to welcome guests as soon as they arrive, answer any questions people might have, provide a friendly face to find out more about Risen King, make and serve coffee. These are just a few ways to help our guests have the best possible experience.
Be a part of shaping the next generation by engaging kids with the Gospel and helping them build their faith. Work directly with children through Bible stories, songs and group activities or work behind the scenes to create the best experience possible for both kids and parents. (Note: A background check is required before joining a regular volunteer rotation with kids.)
Assist staff with projects, administrative tasks, communications and preparation for the upcoming worship experiences. Most support opportunities are during the week at the church office.
Help create an atmosphere where people can encountering God. Operate computers, lights, screens, video equipment, or sound to support the Gospel being presented on stage and online. No experience required.
